Carli Starter System Fitment

I received my Carli Starter System today. I anxiously got home and started looking through the boxes and realized I may have been shipped the wrong parts. I looked up the part numbers for the individual components and compared them to my boxes and it looks like I got parts for a 3rd gen truck.

Can anyone confirm that there is a definite difference between starter systems of 2nd gen and 3rd gen trucks?

I received this:
CS-MRC-03-D - Coils
CS-PAP-03-D - Leafs

I think I should have received:
CS-MRC-03-H - Coils
CS-PAP-94 - Leafs

Found this info at poly performance. Not sure if will help or not.

I will need to check it out and go for a cruz after you get it installed. Might have to break out the credit card again. It never ends...

Bill,

Thanks for the info. Looks like I'll have to ship it back. This really bites. This was the perfect weekend to do the install. The wife is out of town and I have nothing else going on. I won't have another free weekend for 2 weeks. Guess I'll have to spend the weekend playing with the screws on my steering box

I'll let you know when I get it installed and you can check it out.

I do know one thing for a certainty that Carli uses the Hemi coils for the 2nd Gen models, but I'm not sure what the model number is for these.

Looks like you got a 3rd gen kit if i am reading the part numbers right. Someone on here has the Hemi coils and someone has the diesel coils. I think it was "NickG" if I recall with the hemi coils.
I will be doing front brakes this weekend and also going to pick up a steering box from O'Reillys. Figured with the lifetime warranty and low cost I can justify changing it every year if I need to. I've gotten good at it after dealing with this AGR box. I put the original in last weekend that had 130k on it and it feels better than the new AGR.

All is not lost. KLM called me this morning (talk about customer service) and confirmed my components. I only have the incorrect leaf pack for the rear, but all other components are correct. At least I'll be able to get my front axle done this weekend.

According to Kevin at KLR, there's no difference between coils for 2nd gen and 3rd gen. They only have different coils for Hemi vs. Diesel.

Any way, I got the front done yesterday. The front now looks higher than the rear, but I expected that until I get the rear leafs installed which is supposed to raise the rear 1" to level out the truck.
