Camper Special Group/Rear Springs

I went to my dealer today and got the "function 14" on my '01.5 2500. It has the Option Code AHJ (Camper Special Group) and Code XZBP (Springs - Rear Auxillary). Would this mean that my truck as factory "overload" or "helper" springs? It does sit pretty tail-high and there are more leaves back there than you can shake a stick at (I tried.... I got tired and had to quit before I could shake a stick at all of them )

Dont know about the spring thing but try a smaller stick. Easier to shake for a longer period of time.

The camper group has the overloads in the rear and sway bar(s).

It should sit the same as std. though as overloads don't come into play until it's loaded.

thanks.... it sits pretty normal, but the tail end is an inch or two higher than the front. My '96 1500 4x4 sat that way too, so maybe that is "normal". There is a pic of it in my gallery.

It is normal to sit about 2" high in the rear. If you want to level it do a search and you will find plenty of info on how.

D/C used to offer a TSB for lowering the rear end for those guys hauling 5th wheel RV's so that the bed rails wouldn't get crushed.

I think it offered a shorter block between spring pack and axle, and a new set of U-bolts.

How about raising the front? Thats what I did, and I love the look. But I did have to do a spring over conversion on my fitfth wheel.
