Question Cabs

What is the difference between the quad cab and the crew cab?New to the Dodge world.

Traditionally, the Quad Cab is the one with the 2 full size front doors, 2 half size rear doors,
available from 1998.5 on up.
Crew Cab has the 4 full size doors (or close to full size in the back),
available from 2003 on up.

...actually Dodge gives the "quad cab" designation to both the BE body (suicide door model), as well as the newer DR body with the smaller door that opens the same as the front. The DR has about 4" over the older BE body. A true "crew cab" would be the new "Mega-cab"......which is the equivelent of a dodge dakota with a living room attached.
