As far as I've seen I never seen a cab filter... But that explains why so much dirt and dust pour in the vents on a hot summers day while coming down out of the woods with a full load of firewood...

why don't you guys just put it on recirculate? I think it pulls air from inside the cab then, and it does blow harder too.

Correct. It does pull air from the cabin. The reason it blows harder is because the fan doesn't have to pull in air from the outside and blow it in the cabin. There are relief vents that open when you have the A/C in fresh air mode so you don't pressureize the cabin and stall the fan (it won't blow anything as it can't force any more air in the cabin).

That's one reason I don't like the newer dashes, no recirculate from '98 on.

The cab will never pressurize in any position, there are vents located on the rear of the door frame that are always open.

It does recirculate. It may not say it on the controls but the MAX position is re-circulate.

As a matter of fact the MAX A/C position is the ONLY positon that recirculates the air. As for any other position it uses outside air.
