Cab mount bolts.

I an having issues with sloppy steering and a rattle I can't seem to find. I read a post where a guy had found loose cab mount bolts on his rig so I broke out the factory manual and looked up the torque spec for cab mounts. The book calls for 60lb/ft . I crawled under my truck with the handy dandy torque wrench and I found that my cab mounts were way loose. I had installed step bars and apparently they were never tight enough or they worked loose. I snugged them up to 60lb/ft and took her for a drive. I really noticed a difference in how the truck drove. It wasn't nearly as sloppy feeling. If you have similar issues check your cab mount bolts.

Good post.

I put nerf bars on mine shortly after I got it, but never knew the torque specs for them.

Something to do this weekend if the weather cooperates.
