Broken Kool Vue mirror
I recently folded my driver's side Kool Vue tow mirror in to the door as I was parked on a busy city street. This is the first time that I've ever folded it since I bought them a couple years ago. When I went to fold it back out into the normal position, it did not snap back into its detent. I tried the passenger side mirror and it works fine after folding, but the dirver's side doesn't work. Has anyone else had this happen?
They are assembled with a snap on retainer that is impossible to remove, so I can' figure out how to fix it. Probably too old to warranty...

Can you just order one from Kool Vue . I have had them for four years now and no problems, Except the plastic does fade a little fast from the Oem Dodge ones. Let's us know if you can just get one.

Squirt some triflow or similar in there to loosen things up a little before replacing it.
i use Meguiars back to black on my black trims and it keeps them looking pretty good.

I had the same problem when I installed mine. I took the mirror off the truck, then turned it upside down. There is a round cap you need to remove. With a small screwdriver gently tap the round clip around the edge. It worked for me.
