brake caliper bleed screws?
So it has been a while since my last service on the brakes. The bleeder screws were badly rusted / seized to the calipers. Managed to sheer the bleeder screws off. Planning on just replacing the calipers with remans since these ones don't want to come out with an easy out.
Would a bit of anti sieze on the bleeder screws be a good idea when I replace them? Rather not run into the same problems down the road.
TIA

I had the same thing happen to me. When I replaced the calipers I used Russell speed bleeders. The threads are already coated so that they are sealed, they have a spring loaded check ball so they don't suck air making bleeding alot easier and they came with caps. Hopefully the combination of these keeps them from corroding.

Same thing happened here too. I actually welded a washer to it and got it out. Took it too advance and they didnt have any bleeders for it other than the speed bleeders. For the price of a reman caliper I just bought another caliper.

You're better off with the reman. If there was enough corrosion to weld the bleeder in place you more than likely had some corrosion around the piston seals too. If you factor in your time it's cheaper to buy reman and replace it than to try and dink around fixing, honing and resealing your old caliper.
