Bolt pattern, offset, center bore dia. for '97 wheels?

Anyone know the bolt pattern and offset measurements for the stock 16" chrome steel wheels on a '97 Ram 2500 4x4? Also, what's the rim width and center bore diameter? I'm starting to find some tiny rust bubbles starting to form under the chrome around the edge of the rim. I figure it might be nice to start looking into what's available as a replacement. I know I want to keep the 16" rim size, but, would like to know the rim width so I can continue to run 265 tires or maybe 285's if necessary. I haven't checked yet, but, I don't think there's too much of a difference in rim width requirements for a 265 and 285 tire. Thanks for the help and any other advice that might not be so obvious.

Go to Dodgeram.org
http://www.dodgeram.org/tech/specs/wheel/specs.htm

1994-2002 2500 2WD/4WD Steel Wheels:
  • Lug Pattern - 8 on 6.5", 9/16" bolt
  • Rim Size - 16x6.5"
  • Offset - 4.75"
  • Max Tire Size - 245/75R16, 255/85R16
If you want the option of 265 or 285 tires you need 8" rims

Thanks! I never thought about looking at dodgeram.org...I must have had a brain fart. I look there for almost everything else. That's interesting about the 8" rim widths recommendation, since I've had two Rams with the same wheels and have always run 265's on them...my current Ram came with the 265's on it. Anyways, just about every aftermarket rim I've looked at in a 16" size has an 8" rim width, so, I guess it will be better when I do it. Again, thanks for the help!

I've got some aftermarket aluminum rims and almost brand new 285 tires that I may part with. I'm thinking of going to something else on tmy truck

Very common.
Personally, I haul heavy so went to 235/85 tires from the stock 245/75

There is no way that offset is right. The would have the mounting pad hanging outside the wheel itself. I am going to pull a wheel and do some measurements.

I'm pretty sure they meant to say backspacing.

That is what I figured too. When I first saw that number I cracked up laughing. If you google for the offset the site with that info is the first or second to come up too.

Center Bore Dia.

4.765" center bore.

If you want to go with stock 16" chrome steel rims again, I have a set of 4 (great shape, no rust) that I'll part with for cheap.
PM if interested
