I have they same issues as the OP and I have recently replaced the resistor (had only high no low or mid) everything worked fine for 2 days then it decided to work when ever it wants. It can be working fine and I'll adjust speed or vents or do nothing at all and it will quit, sometimes for days. Then all of a sudden it comes back on. I got a little lost is the previous posts, are you guys saying its the fan motor or control switch or something else??? Thanks for any help.

The fan motor does go bad. It can have dirt or corrosion build up inside and give you a dead spot. Mine did that too. Replaced fan motor all is good. I got the motor with fan on it as my blades were chipped up too. The one I got was a plug and play, connector all ready installed.

Sounds like my fan also has a dead spot. I took it out, and if I give it a spin while on low, it starts spinning, but rough, like its getting stuck on a flat spot as it goes round.

Im ordering a new fan today.

thanks for the info gents....
