Bedline entire truck

Bedline entire truck
I'm kicking around the idea of bedlining my entire truck. I like the way my spray on bedliner looks and I wondered if anyone had any pics of entire trucks that have been sprayed with bedliners? I'm thinking of going will all black.

I saw a truck that had it done mid way up both sides with an uneven edge rather than a straight line. It was a two tone light/dark brown and looked just like mud.
Guess it would be cool if you wanted the "look at me I've just been offroading look."

there's a early 90's ford with 3/4 of of his crew cab long box done up with black linex-its interesting, but looses some appeal IMO. There is no shine to the paint, no detail to the body lines ect....it kinda just becomes a black blob
If you don't know its been sprayed, and appreciate the money he's invested into it, it looks terrible....once you realize that he's probably put 4K into it, you ask yourself-Why....

A few years back, I saw a red/white Suzuki Samurai with red/white rubber bedliner over the entire body. At first glance, it looked like it was covered in beaded-up raindrops. I had to do a double-take since it was at night in a well lit parking lot and hadn't been raining...
It was a very well done job. And for that vehicle, it looked pretty darned good!
I don't know how well it would look after it starts fading and has dirt and grime down in between those blobs of urethane rubber.

AT I work in the bedliner industry. I actualy distribute the products used by a shop including the chemicals they spray. If done properly by a good applicator it will work awsome. To do a good job it will take alot of time in prep. Make sure they wire tape around everything to cut clean edges. I would also have a topcoat applied to prevent the liner from chalking out over time. They will all chalk out in the sun unless an aliphatic topcoat is used.

To address the expense, my local paint distributor sells a DIY kit for about $70 for a long bed. I would expect three or four kits with cover the whole truck.

If I do this I will do it myself and use Durabak liner. Its about $70 a gallon and I can't imagine needing much more then 3 gallons.
The main reason for doing it is because of the great primer Dodge used. Yep...I got peeling paint and in this economy there is no way I can spring for a proper paint job. I guess I could get a $200 Maaco but it probably wouldn't look any better then the bedliner and the bedliner might last longer.
