Battery cable size? 1/0 or 2/0?

I finally got around to building all the new battery cables last weekend. The project was not too bad, just tedious (probably took 5 or 6 hours total).
I used 2/0 welding cable for all the bigger diameter cables and #4 welding cable for the smaller. The military style clamps were only about $12 for the whole set. I used good quality lugs and heavy duty shrink wrap from custombatterycables. My brother did end up having access to a nice adjustable, dieless crimper tool that looks sort of like a bolt cutter. It only took us about 5 minutes on his lunch break to make the 15 or 20 crimps.
I'm glad I replaced everything instead of just the one clamp. The original lugs are open on the ends and the cables were green with corrosion.
Thanks again for posting up the info guys.
