Depending on where it does leak it can be as simple as just tightening the nut a little or pushing the quick-connect back together- a 5 minute job including checking the fluid level and washing the hands. I'd suggest that you or he have a look at it yourselves.

Not sure how far these guys are from you.

Autowurksdiesel.com does a lot of Dodge stuff (look at thier homepage you will see what I mean) and Im sure they will take care of you guys. Not sure where in relation to you in Jersy they are but they are in Caldwell.
The one from the tranny to the cooler devoloped a hole on mine a month back. The new one was only 34 bucks from the dealer. The darn line tool was 10 bucks. A few rags to clean as you go. Took about 30 min to do it and was done outside at about 20 degrees.

4500 psi hydraulic hose trans line
I used some high pressure hydraulic hose from a farm store. A 3/8" hose 40" long, a 3/8" NPT to 1/4" NPT adaptor, and a swivel connect fitting is all you need. it cost me about $10 for the hose, and $5 more for the fittings. it beats the h#(( out of paying for the "update kit" from the dealer with brass fittings. You need the swivel fitting because you can't put both ends of a NPT together at the same time. 1/4 " to 3/8" adapter in trans first, 3/8" NPT hose end in the bottom of the heat exchanger second, third put the swivel fitting on the end of the hose, last, connect the swivel fitting on the end of the hose to the 3/8" to 1/4" adaptor. You will need to bend your transmission shift linkage. Bend it up about 1/4" to clear the new larger hardware, and reset your shift linkage by loosening the 13mm bolt in the adjuster, putting the shifter in P, pushing the shift linkage all the way forward on the trans, and tightening the bolt. It's about an hour job, and now you have a 4500 PSI rated hydraulic hose on the hottest line in the trans for less than $25. Mine melted a clip a week ago
, that's why I know this. Hope this helps.

I would use a minnium of 1/2" I.D. line. On my truck I increased the line diameter from 1/2" to 3/4" and got a very noticeable drop in trans temperature. No change in the coolers but all my coolers are 1/2" NPT thread in and out, the factory cooler and factory heat exchanger is in the parts pile. As a side note if you have an aftermarket trans and use 3/8" line they can VOID the warranty because of the restriction you created.
