Any one drilled tie rods for zurks?

I ordered the 2010 tie rod upgrade & am thinking of drilling for grease zurks. Anyone with experience or tips? Also thinking of doing lower ball joints too.
Thanks

Has anybody tried drilling tie rod ends. I think if a person is careful, and gets the fillings out, it should work. Thoughts and ideas welcome.
Thanks

My old trucks have zerks where they're needed but I've drilled and tapped lots of joints for zerks.
Pretty much straight forward. On some you need what's called a bottoming tap because the hole isn't deep enough for a regular tapered tap.
You can also use zerks that pound in, no need to tap, just drill.

I though most zurks would be self tapping. I wonder how many have had the 2010 conversion TRE sheer off? Hard to believe that could happen.

Just put grease on the drill and tap to catch the cuttings.
