Any 16x8 or 17x8 with close to stock backspacing?

I'm leveled out in front and i am now looking for some aftermarket wheels. We all know the stock 16x8 alloys have alot of backspacing. All the rims i find are with 4 or 4.5inch backspacing which sticks out too far for my taste. I'd like to find a 16 or 17 inch wheel with close to stock backspacing and run a 295/75 tire.

I believe that moto metal 955's would have a close to stock backspacing.

Definately go 17" or bigger if making a change!
3rd Gen factory aluminums (17x8) work really well and don't stick out at all....even with my 315's!
The going rate has always been $300-400 for four and I think they look good on a 2nd gen....JMO

Glad to help! I just kept my eye on the classifieds (from 3 different CTD websites) for about 4 months... till some came up for sale w/i 100 miles of me.
Be careful....there are three different styles of 3rd gen wheels between 03 and 08.
Polished Aluminum like mine .... grey power coated (maybe painted?) ..... Steel wheels with chrome face plate.

I think the 3rd gen wheels actually have less backspacing than our OEMS, so be careful with tire rub if you're going with 315s. RowJ, do you have any rubbing problems with those rims?

Some rubbing till I put the Centramatic Balancers on.
With their 1/8" extra spacer (included) I only get minor rubbing one way if full over to the lock.

Yea those 3rd gen wheels look good on our trucks, especially on a truck painted all one color. I just bought some 295/75/16 bfg's to put on my stock 2nd gen 16x8's. I'll buff up the aluminum and see how they look.

RowJ, i didnt realize centramatic made balancers for light trucks. I bought some for my peterbilt when i made the step up from cheap chinese tires to some nice pricey bfg drive tires. They claim to actually extend the life of the tire so we'll see.

I had back to back sets of 315/75/16 BFG A/T's. First set w/o Centramatics; second set with!
I got 4,500 more miles on set #2 with no noticable change in driving style. I'm convinced!
Plus, 315's really need them (or balancing beads) to complete the balancing and to avoid repeated balances as they wear.

PS - Cudo 'KYMatt' - Nice looking, clean 98!

RowJ, what Centramatic model do you use? I guess the 17" model will fit most rims we use. Do you have the big brake upgrade up front? Where did you get the Centramatics? Gonna have to do a little research on this one....
