alignment??

Well im finally getting my new tires (295/75/R16 BFG AT's) this week and need some advice. In addition to my tires being worn I also need a new track bar. Within the next month or two Im plannin on getting a new DT tracbar and new steering stabilizer. Heres my question, should i go ahead and get an alignment now when i get the new tires mounted and balanced, or should wait till i do the tracbar? When replacing the tracbar will I even need an alignment? Just dont wanna pay for the same procedure twice in 2 months. Thanks

Jeff

Jeff, I've found the only time you need an alignment after replacing the track bar is if it was aligned while it had a bad bar. Most good alignment guys will see it's bad and tell you they can't align it till it's fixed, but as we all know there are some mechanics out there who won't notice it.
I'd hold off.

The only thing a bad track bar could affect alignment wise is steering wheel center. If you get the alignment now, put on the new track bar later and the wheel is off a little, you can loosen the adjusting sleeve on the steering link coming off the steering box and turn that adjusting sleeve until the wheel is center. Adjust it, drive it a bit......repeat until wheel centered and tighten it down.
