Have you flushed your cooling system yet??

The reason I ask is that my dad was experiencing the same problem. But when he took it into the dealer for the fix, they found a plug in the cooling system and backflushed it. $$ wise he was LUCKY!! All due to a lack of use as they winter in AZ and don't use the heater much. Seems like you have to cycle that thing whether you use it or not as otherwise it can plug up from lack of use.
Dash removal by the dealer is spendy but I think to get at that blend door that's what has to be done. Better to try the cheap & easy route before attempting that one. Good luck!!

who or what is this "dealer" you speak of? (no need for a dealer when u have a 12 valve)...I prefer not taking off the steerign column to access this though

Check the little motor that operates the blend door for proper operation...It is located at the bottom of the dash just above where a passengers left foot would be...Also do a search here for blend door/no heat topics...lots of info to read.

I've not had mine apart yet, but according to the Mechanics at the dealership, dash removal is easy, you just lower the column, then 2 bots at the bottom of each side of the dash, and the 4 or 5 at the top, plus unplugging the connectors. Then you can remove the whole heater assy and R&R the core on the bench.
