abs sensor

abs sensor

where is my abs censor for the front on my 98 12v. i changed the front right hub and i didnt see the abs sensor and my truck has abs?

Hi Samasaurus!

If your truck hasn't got the cable going to the tone ring (looks like a gear) on the front hub it may have only rear wheel antilock brakes.
If you get an ABS light with this system it can be the speed sensor on the rear differential. (Or the cable to it- a short in that cable can wreak havoc on the electronic gauges-- and keep your truck from doing lockup and overdrive.(PCM doesn't know the vehicle speed)
