ABS motor will not stop running

I have a 1999 2500 4X4 with the 24 valve turbo.
About a year and a half ago both ABS and BRAKE lights came on and I just ignored them. (I guess being a mechanic mine always comes last?) Then about 2 weeks ago I finally replaced the rear diff. speed sensor and all was well. I drove the truck ABOUT 1000 miles with no problems, then yesterday someone pulled out in front of me and I had to get on the brakes pretty hard and the ABS did work fine. I drove the rest of the way to a gas station and shut the truck off with no problems. Then when I got back in and started it back up the lights both came back on. I drove around the corner to the parking lot and got out and noticed the something was running under the hood opened it up and the ABS pump was running and the only way I could get it to stop was to unplug it.
So I went today and checked the new sensor and it was fine I checked the front sensors with a meter and they ring out good too so I hooked up the scaner and got a fault code P0500 (speed sensor ???) It also told me that there was a black plug behind the glove box that i could short out and make the codes come up with the lights but i searched and could not locate that plug??? Has anyone seen this before , whats next?

I would think it has one somewhere.....all 12volt motors need a relay wired in somewhere wether its a starter, wiper, heater, fuel pump or ABS motor. Did you check on the firewall or on the ABS motor itself??

I think it might be part of the controler on top of the motor?

I have been doing some digging and found this on Ebay....... Hello,

Thank you for contacting us with your question.

We only can repair the Dodge ABS module when the pump runs constantly like you mentioned. If you would like to send it in for repair, we need approx. 3 days after the part arrives and the cost is $150 USD + shipping.

I also asked if there was a resistance check that could be done, but didnt get any responce to that part of the question.

Any updates? Mine does the same thing and it sucks hauling daily in the city traffic with no ABS. The only person I have talked to about it said they had to replace the unit for almost $600.
