I had the same thing happen to me about a year ago. I drove home, shut the truck off and heard the motor running still. I had to unplug the ABS motor leads because the motor was hot as heck and wouldn't shut off. I still have the ABS light and Brake light on, but my speedo works. I only loose the speedo and cruise control if I pull one of the two fuses for ABS.

99 Dodge 3500 (5.9 turbo) 5 speed... ABS will not stop running

Did anyone ever get this issue resolved. Mine started Sunday night. The ABS and Brake light stay on all the time and the motor ran after I shut the truck off. I pulled the ABS fuse under the hood to shut it down.

I'd love to know if anybody has had success with this issue.

I still have the motor leads at the ABS unplugged, and still have the brake and abs warning lights on. I would have thought the bulbs would have burned out after 5 years, but nope. I suspect that the controller on the ABS unit is faulty, but I don't care for the performance of Mopar's system, so I have made the choice not to fix it. Mine is 4 wheel ABS and when the rear would skid on loose gravel on an incline at the parking lot from work, a steep 25 foot apron from the parking lot to the busy street, the ABS would start pulsing and such and would let me roll straight out onto the street. Dangerous as heck.

I had an accident at below 3 mph because of that **** ABS in the snow once and many other close calls until I disabled it. I was rolling less than 5mph and kept rolling for about 50ft and I couldn't stop because the ABS was pulsing like crazy. Bumped into the back of a mustang for 700 dollars worth of damage. 50 ft to stop at below 5mph and the truck wouldn't stop. My opinion of Mopar ABS is very low. I have 1 cummins 2500, 2 grand cherokees, 1 durango, and the ABS SUCKS on all of them unless the roads are clean and dry. jmo

I know this is an old thread.
This happened to mine as well. I picked up a used ABS control module (on the ABS motor) from the junk yard and it worked for almost 2 years. The lights came on again so I will have to get it repaired.
I found this: Circuit Board Medics and will probably send my original one away to get it repaired.

is this an electronic box on top of the module, or do you have to break open the brake lines?

my lights are on, on the dash.
ABS module unplugged.
if i plug it in, it grinds (is that normal sound?) like crazy.

after much reading on the dodge ABS, the software was not mature, and the ABS causes more problems than it solves.

i just want to be rid of the ABS & Brake light, but I ALWAYS set my E-brake (I had one of the 2004 Dodges that would roll away), and my wife NEVER sets the E-brake, so I need the dash light to remind her to let off the E-brake if she drives it.
