abs/brake lights

My abs/brake lights come on simultaneously once in awhile. If I turn the truck off then on again it clears. This has been happening for about a year. Any ideas?
This is on my 98 24v
Thanks mark

Take it to a dealer and have them look for abs codes, My 99 did the samething and found that the abs computer needed replaced. But i also have seen the speed sensor cause it.

I fixed this problem on my truck by replacing the sensor on top of the differential, about $40 from the dealer.

yes but i had different symptoms i had abs light and air bag light and dead gauges this probably is not the problem with both brake lights on but it will do this if it is too low on brake fluid or the abs module could be going out but sounds like a ground if it only dose it Evey once in a while a read some stuff about electrical issues i the instrument panel due to bad grounds
