98 steering column interchange

I did a quick search and came up with nothing.

I have a 98 12 valve quad cab automatic I just acquired and is in need of some repair.

The column and steering wheel are wasted, the column is broke loose from the dash and the wheel is bent.

My question is, What year columns will work. My buddy has a 95 parts truck I can have the column out of, but if it won't work I'm not going to spend the time taking it out.

Thanks,
Mike

It will work. 94-2001

94 has a splined end and you would need the steering shaft to go with it but the rest are the same. Get one with a cruise clockspring and buttons. Then get the servo under the battery and you have cruise. Tilt if you want it. You can get it all from a 1500 if you want.

Note there are different cruise buttons. 94-95 have snap on off buttons. 96 up have 3 buttons instead of 4.
