3/4 ton wheel up front on my dually

I bought a set of tires for my mother in law's durango and it just happened to have some aftermarket 3/4 ton wheels. I took the spacers off the front and they look great!!! It handles a little better as well, seemed to wonder more with the other set up, maybe because it extended the axle and made it more noticeable.

I will get some pics this week some time.

Just remember that the 3/4 rims are not rated the same as your one ton. I wouldn't load them excessively.

I had a blowout one time late on a Sunday and no spare. I made it home by doing just the opposite...I installed a dually wheel/tire backwards to make it home. Looked and drove like crap and I wouldn't recommend it but I made it about 30 miles home!

the difference between 3/4 ton and 1 ton is 500 lbs so i doubt the rating would be different.... maybe this link will shed some light on wheel ratings.
these are after market but ratings don't change from 3/4 to 1ton.

I am aware of the weight change. My truck did not come with a spare so I took one of the xtra wheels and installed a used tire on it and I need to go the the junk yard and get the spare tire bolts, etc.
