235's on a 96 dually?
Well i finally got the ***** to buy the 235's today and i stayed with the Michelin's . They gave me $51 per tire back on the old ones because of the sidewall cracking so it's a wash on the price of the cheaper tires i was going to buy. I get them next Wednesday, so i'll take some pics to show the fitment on the dually. I've fretted over getting the 235's for over a year now, i sure hope they workout.

They were plenty long on mine. If you have a quarter inch of thread sticking out of the nut you have room. They were on my truck when i bought it, to keep the 265's from rubbing. I bought new offset wheels and 265's, didn't need the spacers.
I was looking at these, is that what you had? http://www.ebay.com/itm/380428869553...84.m1438.l2649

Well i got my tires installed today and like everyone said, they fit. It actually seems like there's more gap with the bigger tire. These are mounted on stock wheels. Thanks for the help. Resampled_2012-04-30_12-22-49_525.jpg?t=1335815342

Looks like the 1/4" spacer won't be enough to keep the tires from rubbing, with my camper on and towing my trailer the tires rub. While camping and using the water, the gray and black tanks start filling and they sit at the back of the camper, moving the weight to the rear. I ordered some 1/2" spacers today and that should do the trick.

I put both 1/4" spacers on one wheel and the stud comes right to the end of the lug nut. The place I bought the 1/2" spacer from said you should have at least 8 turns of the lug nut to be safe, I have 9 3/4 turns, so I guess I'm good. Should have plenty of room with the camper and car trailer all loaded up, I hope.

I'm just curious...How much weight was in the truck for the dually tires to come that close to each other...??
My last 235 tires was a Korean tire called Aurora...I loaded my truck full of steel for the scrap yard and the tires hardly bulged..
Wonder if Michelin tires may have more of a softer side wall..
Michelin are darn good tires...
