2007 wheels on a 1999

A friend of mine just put aftermarket wheels on his 07 2500. He took off some really nice factory 5 spoke alloy wheels that he will sell me for a pretty good price. Will they fit my 99?

There might be an issue clearing your rear drums. The newer trucks have four wheel discs. This was a problem trying to fit 01.5 wheels to the older models.

All the new trucks have 17" wheels. My 97 came with some off an 03, they look nice and no clearance issues. If they are cheap, go for it.

Might want to get a set of spacers. I heard that the 3rd generation wheels sit closer in on the 2nd generation than the stock ones.

I believe that you can still contact either the Tire Rack or Discount Direct and they will tell you what the offset is for any car you claim to own if you are looking for wheels for your ride. If no luck, most tire shops should have a book that has all of this info for just about every car made.

A 20mm spacer should put the BS back to stock specs. Depending on the tire size you may not need one.
