2004 Topper on 2000?

A friend of mine said to come get his topper & pay him what I want. I think it came off a 2004. Will it fit (well) my 2000? Both are long beds. I want something to keep the rain off on trips.

I have a 95 with a topper that I believe (according to the guy I bought it from) was built for a 3rd generation body. It fits perfect at the back of the bed, however it is a little wider and taller at the cab end. I'm in Wyoming and the truck is in Texas so I can't measure, but I believe it sticks up over the cab about 3-4 inches and is about 2 inches over the bed edges at the front (on each side). The taper (of the bed or the topper) has it gradually wider than the bed starting about 4 foot back.

I bought it for my move at a cheap price and will eventually take it off and probably sell it. It has made made it back and forth to Texas 3 times and has not leaked or shifted

Take care
Steve
