My brother is looking at 2002 3/4 ton, Atuo, 3.55, qc , Lb, 12,000 MILES for $29,950. Is that a good deal? and how are the 2002 and what to look for?
Thank You

Re:2002 truck

Kelley Blue Book says mine is worth about $28,595 for a private party sale... It has a little over 24000 miles on it... Too bad you can't factor in the upgrades on there! ;D

Re:2002 truck

That seems kind of high---I paid that for mine brand new a year ago with 41 miles on it. I guess it all depends on what type of extra's it has on it

Re:2002 truck

Is it a 4x4??? I have a 2001 and when it had 65,000 miles on it, it was valued at $25,000. My truck is a 2500,4x4,QC, longbed, with a auto tanny. I hope this helps 8)

Re:2002 truck

sounds high to me... you could get one with like 20k miles more for like 7 grand less. 35k miles on a cummins is nothing. JMO

Re:2002 truck

Ours is an '02 and we bought it with 6,000 miles on it for 28,000, it is fully loaded with all the options, leather heated seats, power everything, bedliner, gooseneck hitch, auto, well heck you get the idea. My truck brand new was $43,000, oh and its a Dually QC. Not a bad price if you ask me.

Re:2002 truck

I know that's high..... I paid $29K for a new 2002 Quad Cab
4X4 about a year ago, 8FT bed, auto, plow pkg, camper pkg, and the list goes on and on. The sticker price was around $37K. Dodge was giving them away to make room for the '03.

Re:2002 truck

Clifford, they aren't making 02's any more, last year of the most popular body style Dodge ever made in a truck. That 02 will last your brother many, many years.

I've had 4 Dodge Cummins trucks and they were all great but my 02 is the only one that has never had any warrenty work done to it. I've been down and looked at and test drove several 03's but they just don't compare, don't get me wrong they are nice, just not nice enough to trade my 02 in for one.

Haggle with the seller or dealer and see how far they are willing to move then buy when you are happy with the price, the $29500 is low retail so they will move some. Good luck on your brothers purchase......Pete
