1999 2500 front brakes

does anyone if bearing and rotors will switch from 2001 or 2002 to 1999 2500 so pulling the rotors does not involve pulling bearings?

I believe the newer rotors are a larger diameter and won't fit with your 99 calipers that bolt to your knuckles. The 2000 and newer setup has much better braking, but it's always been my belief that you need to change up the complete front axle assembly to make use of it.

Or can you change things from the knuckle out...ex. when doing ball joints?

No, I don't think so. The way the ball joints mount is totally different. On the earlier trucks, the joints press into the knuckle. On the later trucks, the joints press into the end yoke of the axle housing.

You'de have to change the front axle/differential housing. Then, that's a whole other can of worms.
Control arm bolts are larger diameter requiring changing the front control arm bushings.
Sway bar would need to be changed as well.
You'de also have to make sure the front housing you chose had the vacuum axle disconnect on it too. (some 01,02's front diffs didn't have).
