Well i have owned it for ten years and aside from the cracked dash the truck has been flawless. I did have some drivetrain problems. Had to get the tranny rebuilt at 140,000 miles and the whole fuel system replaced with the FASS system a long time ago. Got tired of replacing lift pumps.

Then at 170,000 had to replace the injector pump. Everyone you hear always makes fun of the dodge. In my case the dodge has done better than the drivetrain, The front end is all original. The tire wear is terriffic, I get about 75,000 miles on a set. The truck has 181,000 on it now and would have about 230,000 but i bought a motorcycle when diesel went to five bucks a gallon a few years back.

I'm very happy with the truck and would buy another in a heartbeat.

I'm glad I had it rust proofed. I would buy another one, also.

I bought my one ton for the farm new in 1994, liked it so well I bought the 2500 for myself a couple months later.
Close to 300k miles on each of them now, not one engine problem besides new hoses.
Hard to believe they're 15 years old now, still seem like new to me.

I figure they'll have to bury me in one of them.

Bought mine new in 1995, has 452,000 miles on it now. I'm amazed. Windshield is cracked, two water pumps (2003 and this year), starter contacts, other trivial stuff but nothing major.

I need to pull the dashboard out and replace the heater core and AC evaporator coil - been putting it off but the heater core leak made it impossible to see out to get to work, I by-passed it and my feet get cold. Not looking forward to the job, but the truck has been so good to me I owe it.

Regards,
Andrew
