Something different with the rear cup holder too, not sure what though.

Could be wrong.

Like Andy505 said, the biggest and easiest difference to tell is the 01.5 have rear disks and the 01 have drums. Other then this I am not sure of many differences.

Some of the 01.5 had a real solid front axle... HOHN's does.

I believe there is also something in the front end. A disconnect of some sort? Only reason I know this is from looking at trackbars, the guy asked me if I had the 01 or 01.5. He said I would have to use the 3rd gen track bar because mine was an 01.5.

I've owned one of each. Rear cupholders are the same. Here are some differences I've noted:

2001
Front disc brakes, rear drum brakes
Sound insulation under hood

2001.5
All-around disc brakes
No sound insulation under hood
New cruise control group
Rear child safety seat straps
Belt diagram stickers under hood

That's all I can think of right now. I don't know of any front-end suspension differences, but there very well might be some.

You can get those safety seat hooks installed on the earlier 01 if you want. I think there is a TSP for them. I found it http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2000/23-08-00.htm

I recommend that you NOT get them put on your truck unless you're older and are a daddy. Otherwise, they look stupid. I wish mine weren't on there, but it's too much hassle to take em off.

Actually on my 01.5 I have the sound insulation under the hood. I wonder if that was a package thing? I've heard other say that was deleted on 01.5's and 02's.

You know I forgot about the rear cupholder......I was thinking my 98 had that but my 01.5 does not and it has a lot more equipment.....leather, etc. I haven't seen that in the aftermarket. I guess I could order that from Mopar unless anyone has seen it in aftermarket? You can never have too many cupholders....and, yes, I do have Geno's cup smoothie already.

If you're looking for a rear cupholder assembly, you're in luck! I have two for sale! PM me for details.
