Yes, another transmission question

Hey, 98 cummins, with 102k miles on it. Automatic transmission has felt funny the last few days. When shifting out of first gear, or right when I accelerate, it hesitates, and then will kick in to gear, not a hard shift, but hesitated. Not sure what it is. Recently replaced torque converter, with a heavy duty after market one, flushed tranny recently also. Any advice? Anybody else experienced this?

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
Fluid level O'K?? From there it does not get better. Generally means a clutch circuit is leaking excessive and finally catches as pump volume(RPM) increases to point can overcome leak.

Depending on how you describe what's happening, might try a search on here for "transmission hunting". See if anything there can resolve your situation.

Also - service it and adjust the bands per the specs for your specific year. Band adjustment is critical for shift timing.

Did you change the filter when you flushed? Likely but, If not - do it also.

I'll look up and do some more searching on the forums, but it doesn't feel like it's hunting for a gear. When it shifts from 1st to 2nd gear, it just feels rougher than it should, hesitates for a split second, and then hits. Thanks for the advice, I'll get on those suggestions and let you know. thanks
