Would like a 2nd opinion on engine rebuild

I finally got another block on its way here. So i have to take the internals of my 53 block and swap into the new block. What bearings should i use. Cummins bearings or aftermarket bearings? I am replacing the crank and connecting rod bearings

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
OEM parts (Cummins) are gonna wear you out. Jist start doing search on internett. You will find deals. Pistons are made by Malhe (sic) You might try some parts stores also. they can generally order.

the auto parts store has bearings $68 for crank and 61 for connecting rod bearings. cummins wants $298 for them also.

The old saying you get what you pay for, we know the cummins parts can go a longtime, what is to say the auto store parts are the same specs. I know that getting parts to precise specs can cost alot more money, which could be the difference in cost. JMO
