Who makes the Auto Trans?
Who builds the 2nd Gen and newer auto Trans for Dodge?
I was asked if Mercedes was involved in the build, I thought it was a fair question since Daimler has stepped in.
Or are these genuine made in USA Mopar trannies?

It's a Chrysler design all the way through. If Mercedes got involved I doubt it would change things any. Trucks that are kept stock and maintained well don't have an epedemic of trans problems. I know of several stock autos that have gone past 100k and one that's over 1/4 million on the original trans, so it is an adequate design. Not overbuilt, just adequate.
