When the VP died in my '01 I went with thoroughbred diesel to get the replacement VP, $995 and includes unlimited mileage 1 yr warranty. Was padded nicely and shipped fast.

There are many opinions on this subject. BlueChip, while pricey, seems to have the fewest complaints or problems. His support is also second to none, from what has been posted. He also always puts in a new computer(Expensive), which the other rebuilders may or may not do, regardless of what they may say.
Do a search on VP44 and come to your own conclusions. Mid West FI also gets mentioned many times and a few others.
Good luck and sorry about the VP. It is still better than these new emisiion 6.7's.

For quality and service--if you need it, is Blue Chip.
A little more $$ but he does them right. Few if any complains.

Another vote for Blue Chip! A VP44 is not the best part to go cheap on as there is a big difference in the way people rebuild and test them.

I used BlueChip a couple years ago and the whole process was excellent.

I like Thoroughbread's package deals and I'm wondering if the extra cost for a Blue Chip is worth it since I don't plan on keeping the truck for another 100k miles.

I have seen people buy a rebuilt pump and install it only to have to remove it because it was no good. Not saying that will happen to you but it does happen...... For me the peace of mind knowing the injection pump is set up properly is worth paying a professional to do it.

there is a big debate of that said question? I'm happy with my 80k mile and counting Oregon fuel injection vp. but ask if your selling it within the year do the cheaper due to the warranty.
