Where to get VP44 info?

There was mention somewhere about a CDROM from Bosch that contained VP44 information. What I am looking for is the format of the data that is sent over the CAN BUS to the VP44. Anybody know if that kind of information is contained on that CD?

Contact Bluechip diesel performance. They are one of the best with the vp44.

Yes, the Bosch CD for the VP44 is just an overview of how the radial plunger distributor pump works. I was disappointed that it gave no hard facts about code or fuel pressures. It is kind of a VP 101 course lacking important details. It does show through animation the sensor inputs and interior working of the pump.

It seems that Bosch keeps quiet on the code to keep the aftermarket hackers guessing.

Well, the good thing is that the 'vp44 datalink(+) and vp44 datalink(-)' signals are the SAME as the J1939 connector - those connections are wired together internally in the ECU. In a couple of weeks I am going to order a CAN BUS interface card and do some snooping.
