where esle to look?

Ok, same problem. I still can't get over 25 psi boost. I have pressure checked the intercooler boots. I have the edge elbow and a hose clamp to restrict wastegate operation.

I'm getting very little smoke and most of the time i see 0 boost during driveing. I usually get 10- 15 climbing hills and the egt's seem high for traveling empty. I can get 1000 just shifting gears.

Comp seems to be throwing plenty of ruel. At least i can tell there is more power with each setting.

I dont have any codes, did the key method and used a obdII.

Fuel presure is about 14 cruise and 13 wot. Pyro is pre turbo. This truck is a dog with out the comp on at least level 2 sub 4. level 3 is too much to tow 16 foot gooseneck. egt at 1200 easy on most hills.

about at my wits end.

Have you checked that the wastegate is closing completely? If not, you're losing boost there.

You can also try blocking off the wastegate completely (clamp the hose or remove the elbow and plug the hole) and see if your boost numbers improve. Just don't get overly crazy and spin it up too quick since the turbo will not have any protection from pushing too hard. If this increases your numbers, you might want to look at that boost elbow to make sure it's not drilled too big.

0psi while driving is fine if you've got your foot just barely on the pedal (no acceleration), but I usually always see a couple of lbs when cruising.

Lightbulb

Before I worked on my banjos, my WOT fuel pressure was 7 psi w/new pump.
When I nail mine at 1800 rpm, quite a bit of black smoke is present.
Ya got a test hill to compare "wire plugged in/wire not plugged in" with?

I unhooked the wastegate linkage and there is a 1/4 in or more before the linkage will reconnect to wastegate pin. I had to apply air just to get it hooked back up. So it should be closeing completely.

I do get boost when applying skinny pedal, but wot it will only hit 25psi and it is kinda slow the last few.if i'm cruiseing and slowly accelerate it usually hits 10-15.Once in awhile it will read 3 or 4 psi when cruiseing, but most of the time the needle is resting on the stop.

I just see alot of people are getting much more with the same or less setup. Without the wire hooked up there is only a few lbs difference. I do have a good ground as it is ran to the battery and i do have 12 volts at the wire.

Will unhook the elbow when i get 2 it. thanks

anymore suggestions?

Where is your boost pressure taken from ? Do you think you might have a small leak on the guage line? Can you get another guage to compare readings? The regulator guage on a torch kit is low pressure.
Are those tool boxes full

boost is from the 3/4 plug in the intake. toolboxes are pretty full. Mostly small tools.

I can't hear any leaks in the boost line but anything is possible. I thunk it is a bad gauge considering the low boost and no smoke.

I have to be moving pretty good cruising to get boost. If your going under 60 or so, there is no boost(unless uphill or loaded). If I'm going 75-80 MPH it seems to be 3-6 lbs or so.

But I can get 31 lbs of boost with the boost elbow in place.

My boost gauge is in the same place.

I get little puffs with the VanAaken.

EGTs don't seem that high. I can get 1000 stock, by just putting my foot into it a little. But doesn't climb very fast after that.
