How do you know when it's time to replace the u-joints in your driveline? Are there any symptoms to look for?

 

when you have noise or vibration or the U-joints are loose,

 

High frequency load induced drive line vibration or visible looseness when shaking joints. Or rust coming out of seals.

 

Is the u-joint vibration a different feel than a tire out of balance? I currently don't feel a vibration in the steering wheel, but if I hold the stick, I can feel a vibration that feels more than normal.

 

With both windows rolled down, take a 90 degree corner at a slightly higher than normal speed. If you have a bad u-joint, chances are you'll hear it.

You should hope it's a bad u-joint. If you've got a bad vibration in the stick of your NV5600, it could be something worse.
