Most agree that anything over 8 psi at Wide Open Throttle is acceptable.
The builder of my new HR pump says he likes to see >10 psi at all times.
Idle is usually in the 14-16 psi range.
This is for a stock pump setup.

My stock LP gives me 14 1/2 psi at idle, 12 1/2 with the fiver on at 65 mph cruise on flat ground, and never drops below 11 with any load or hill at WOT...and I think that most folks get somewhere in this range from what I've read.

You want LOW fp at startup, and then you want it to instantly come up to a much higher level.

More is better, to a point. Bosch sets the bypass at 14psi, so maybe they don't want the pump to see much more than that?

That said, tests have been done showing better power and performance all the way to 30psi FP!
