what type of tranny fluid do you use?

i know our trucks call for atf+4.

i ve heard of some using dex III with a bottle of red lube guard.

which do you use or other brand/type?

I think thats what all the respected Diesel tranny builders recommend. But I also think its Dexron III with a bottle of Black Lube Guard.
Thats what Goerend recommends anyway.

I used ATF + 4 with the black lube guard in my goerend transmission.

I am sure Chrysler put a lot more engineering into developement of chemicals used in ATF+4 than the entire resources of individual builders. Go with ATF+4 and no snake oil additives.
