K-ller D-owell P-in , its under the front timing cover , I have'nt been there on mine yet to check , I bought it used so I do'nt know its fate yet , but its a pin thats used as some sort of marker and it has come lose on a lot of trucks and can get caught up in the timing gears or chain and also crack the case if it catches just right. Now that your concerned you'll want to open it up and see to avoid a problum.

You may not need to worry about it on your truck. You can check here for more info on what it is.

I personally know of two '99s that had the pin come out and cause damage.
Better safe than sorry. If it was my truck I'd check it out.
