What do these mean?

For some reason I decided to check and see if there were any codes on my truck so I did the process to check them and came up with

P0500 & P1693

My truck is stock other than bhaf and straight pipe

What do these mean exactly and how do I clear them?

I don't know about the 1693.

Usually, disconnecting the battery for awhile will reset them. Also, around here, AutoZone will read and clear the code for you.

1693 is a companion code just saying you have a code with a prob.
Do you have a problems happening. I had the speed sensor prob and my abs light and parkin brake light was on in the dash and my speedo wouldnt work till 30 mph.
Its a little screw in s on the top of your pumpkin in the back you can get one at the dealer and it take 5 minutes tyo change, pop off wire take out 2 or3 bolts and unscrew it.

1693 is the code telling you there is a code.

0500 is the speed sensor.

If your speedometer and odometer are working, you most likely spun your tires and haven't started/stopped the truck the required number of times to clear the code.

0500

as far as i know you can get rid of the 0500 code by disconnecting your batteries, but why bother? i can set a 0500 code just by revving the engine to any thing over an idle( for faster warmup ) i now have 0500,1693 codes
