Weird transmission fluid readings?

Lately I've been having a tough time telling how much transmission fluid I've got in my transmission....Every time I check the dipstick there will be a really sharp angle on the fluid level showing across the dipstick....One end of the fluid level will be in the normal range & the other end will be down in the low range? I've been checking it like the manual says....I let it warm up to 170F or so & leave it in neutral to check it....Sometimes the angle is so sharp that it just looks like fluid is only showing up on the side of the dipstick? I'd just like to make sure I've got the fluid level good with hot weather coming up....Only thing different on this truck is I've got a PML pan on it & it hold about another 2 or 3 quarts over stock....

I believe they say the under side of the stick is the side to treat as accurate

add a quart or 2 and see what it reads. a quart or 2 over full WILL NOT hurt the dodge trans. it is an old wives tale. i have built these trans for 40 years i think this qualifies me to know just a little about them

i've always wondered about that....i was under the impression that running too much was worse on a transmission than running too little....guess that was one of the reasons i was scared to put too much fluid in there.....
