weird miss
weird miss
first off this problem happens totally random
truck could be fine for weeks
i had this problem when i bought the truck and i thought it went away
sometimes if i rev the truck in neutral it breaks up while its revving
it also will do it part throttle cruise sometimes
sounds similar like a two stroke dirt bike before its warm
my truck makes a good bit of black smoke normally but when it is breaking up it has a lot of white/grey raw fuel smoke mixed with it.
like the smoke my 91 idi ford used to have until all 8 cylinders lit when cold lol
do i have a bad injector/injectors
truck has ton of power no odd smoke and runs like a top 98% of the time
had a recent valve adjust at 170k

i have the same problem when i rev it up, but not when cruising. i posted a thread awhile back and no one knew so i just gave up on it, and kinda just don't worry about it, i just don't rev up my truck unless it's warm, (BTW, mine will only do it when cold too, if it's at normal operating temp, no probs) and also it never did it until i put my Warlbro fuel pump on it, soooo....i'm stumped but hopefully together we can figure it out now. i hope it's not a bad injector, if so, i'm gonna upgrade all of 'em i can tell ya that much for sure, but we'll see what happens.
i bought the truck used and it had the prob from the first week. after i added the intake exhaust and walbro it seemed to get better. im gonna get som 300 rv injectors and see if that fixes it.......till then maybe some injector cleaner.lol
ok i just put in the 100hp injectors from bully dog
it made the idle miss/rough go away. truck sounds less noisy. my stumble/miss down low from idle in neutral is still there but not as bad. also my stumble/miss when i accellerate in first with 1/4 or 1/8 pedal is still there kinda.
im gonna turn my attention to valves /valve springs maybe?
unless you guys think its the main pump?

FIXED IT!
one of these things fixed all my problems so you decide which it was....
1.fuel pressure at idle was low 14 and if i rev the truck it would pull down to11 or so..........upped pressure at idle to 25 and it pulles to 21 at wot
2. soldered the connection on my quad box where it gets tapped into pump and tps
3.ran a new line to my boost gauge,i thought it was leaking
its all good now,no sputter, surge or miss
