Like the title says....

I hate the sliiidddee in of the od lockup on my 99. It shifts fine if you are in it pretty good, but at low throttle it will shift early into 4th which causes a ton of converter slip and then it will lockup the converter and it causes a huge slide in and 500RPM or more drop.

Now my 01 I sold locked up hard in 3rd at at light throttle and then shifted locked into 4th. It worked really well with valve body and tc upgrade, but I dont know about this 99.

Does anyone know if I could simply find an 01 pcm and have the lockup like I want? It is a MUCH better driving shift pattern and it has to be better for the converter.
