Wait to start taking 30 seconds ( when warm)
This morning , I went to start my truck (-17 Celsius) and I noticed the block heater plug had been disconnected. Kid must tripped over it or something. Anyways , it took a while for the WTS light to go out as per normal in the cold . Now after driving for a hour and the weather warmed up to almost melting , I stopped and was out of the truck for a 45 mins or so. I turned the key and it took approx 30 seconds for the light to go out . Drove home another hour, pulled into the driveway and parked. Waited 5 mins and turned the key . It took 28 second for the WTS light to go out . This is the 1st time in 10 years owning th3 truck it’s done something like this . Only other thing is it seams my battery voltage gauge seems like it’s charging a bit more stronger than before . ( unless it’s just cold out and working harder ) Any ideas where to start ? Thanks

Here's a link to help understand what the normal cycle times should be. Cold Weather Diesel Operation
There are many parameters used to determine the cycle times, not just ambient weather. Battery condition is very important.

Thanks for that read Katoom . This morning was above freezing and I had it plugged in all night . Still 30 seconds for the light to turn off when usually be less than 5 . I did some reading of old posts and read maybe the intake air temp sensor could be dirty or damaged . What’s your thoughts on that ?

Truck at full temperature , cold , plugged in.....it’s still taking 30 seconds . When plugged in overnight it was usually less than 5 seconds . It starts like it’s warm , but long wait on the light. When I first noticed it , my charging gauge was holding around 10 for the first 10 mins ( or so) of driving then it climbed up to the normal 14 ish .
