vp44 & Warranty?

So, just so i can know for hopefully the never future...
2002 ram, 56K miles, and bought from a ford dealer,
if my vp dies, is it covered under a dodge warranty? and is there a 7/70 warranty for my vehicle? Thanks everyone.

Best way to get your warranty info is to stop at the dealer and have them run your VIN number. This will tell what coverage you have, and if there are any outstanding recalls.

Check with Dodge to ensure the warranty is still in effect. The VP is covered by Cummins 5/100.

Cummins engine is covered for 5 year/100,000 mile warrenty but you have to go to a dodge dealership to have it worked on, it's dodges warrenty.

7/70 depends on when it was bought

I think the warrenty depends on the date of manufacture. My early 2002 mfg in May has the 3 ry 36K warrenty. I think think mfg after 7/1/2002 it is 7yr 70 k warrenty.
Good luck

Took delivery of my 2002 in Feb 02. It was an ordered truck, so it was mfg in late Jan/early Feb 02. I got the 7/70.

I agree with earlier post, even if it is covered by Cummins, warranty work has to go through Dodge.
