IMHO if your LP had not died your VP would still be runnig strong.
Its seems DC designed these failures into the systems on purpose.
Design a IP that needs fuel for lube and cooling and supply it with a fuel line smaller than whats on a lawnmower and use a small electric LP mounted in the worst posible place and tada... instant failures
Best we can do is inform as many as we can the importance of a FP gauge on these VP equiped trucks
