Question VP44 Question.

Just curious here. The VP44, is it engine driven, electronically timed right? What I mean to say is that the fuel is pressurized by the engine driven gear and the electronic stuff open the solenoids to realease a shot to the injector? If someone could tell me how this thing work, I would appreciate it.

The Blue Chip article states that a weak/bad lift pump is not the cause of VP44 failure. My truck will not run above idle w/out the lift pumpkeeping atleast 1 psi to the Vp44. Makes me wonder whether the rotary pump in my VP44 is bad.

Good deal jrs.

In another post, you mentioned you worked on electronics for the Coast Guard in Guam. Do you work on radars or radios or computers etc. etc. etc.
