VP44 puller information

I would like to know who could give me the specs on the injection pump
puller. I had read some had made them from a piece of plate and tapped the holes in them. I mainly need the hole spread I can figure out the rest.
Thanks
TB

You don't need any special puller for a VP44. Just a standard bar type puller will do the job. Usually a steering wheel puller works just fine.

There was a post quite a while ago where a guy took the rear lift ring off the head and drilled a hole in it and tapped it and used a couple sockets for spacers.

Bottom line is that it doesen't take much of a puller. Just be very carefull that you do not drop the nut and washer on the front side and be very careful of the shaft key onthe back side. I used a short magnet and it worked fine.
