VP44 On It's Way Out? (Shudder/Miss)
Recently I have noticed that at around 70 mph, if I floor it, or even half throttle, as the truck accelerates the engine seems to miss eratically. I have not been able to reproduce this behavior in any other gear, regardless of RPMs. It seems like I have to have this certain load on it, being in OD, running at about 70, because it does not do it at lower speeds, and when I accelerate from 0 through 70+, it does not start until I hit 70.
If I turn up my PM3 the shudder/miss lessens the more I turn it up, but I usually ride around with the PM3 off.
Fuel pressure is great as I have a FASS on it. My injectors are Mach 5's.
I was thinking the VP44 is on its way out, but I would think I'd have problems at other speeds, depending on gear an dRPM, and the PM3 would make it worse.
Does anyone else have an opinion on this?
Thanks,
Chris
