VP44 Banjo Fitting Cracking

I recently had my VP44 injector pump replaced under warranty at my local dealer with about 60,000 miles on the truck. About 1200 miles after the injector pump was replaced, the return fuel line cracked where the banjo fitting is brazed to the return line. Thinking the line was damaged during the warranty work I purchased a new return line and installed it myself taking care not to preload the line. This line cracked at the same location within 900 miles. Could my dealer have left off a support bracket or is there something I am doing wrong in the install that is allowing the vibration of the motor to crack the line. It currently is only supported at the banjo fitting at the injector pump and the tee at the end of the line at the firewall.

At the rate I am breaking lines this is getting expensive very quickly. The truck is a stock 2001.5 with the H.O. six speed manual. Thanks.

There is a bracket at the rear of the injection pump, which, if they did not secure it, may cause the line to break from vibration ... it's a long shot, but check it and see. It's a two piece bracket. A cast support bolts to the block and a mild steel bracket attaches the VP to the cast support. It is located at the rear of the pump, on the underside. Good luck!

Your truck is putting out too much power.....snapping fuel lines....normal for a CTD Seriously though....what piperca said
Or just go with a FASSII or one of the other fuel kits on the market and get rid of those banjo's all together.

Thanks for the input. All brackets are present and mounted tightly to the pump and engine block.
